1. NO GUM CHEWING will be permitted in any dance class.
2. CDS reserves the right to cancel classes with small enrollment. If your class is canceled an alternative option will be suggested.
3. Missed Classes & Refunds: Attendance is the student's responsibility. If class is missed due to illness, a make up class may be scheduled. All make up lessons must be made up during the current term and can not be passed on from year to year. Refunds will not be issued for missed classes. Refunds may only apply to students who miss classes for prolonged medical reasons, at which time a doctor's note will be required.
4. Withdrawal: Students may withdraw from classes at the end of a term only. We ask that either the student of parent notify the office.
5. Late Payments: CDS asks that all payments be made by the date due. If payments are not paid within 10 days of invoice, CDS reserves the right to add a late payment fee.
6. NSF Checks: There will be a NSF Fee charged for all returned Checks.
7. Outside Footwear: All dancers, parents and visitors are asked to leave all outside footwear in the porch on the shelves provided. Outside footwear is NOT permitted on the dance floor or carpeted areas.
8. Winter Weather Closures & Cancellations: If schools in the Ascension Collegiate School System are closed all day due to poor weather and road conditions, the studio will be closed as well. If stormy conditions are expected in the evening, please call the studio or check our web site for status. This policy is in effect for the safety and best interest of students & parents. If class is cancelled due to teacher illness or any other reason, you will be notified by telephone or email.
9. Bay Roberts Christmas Parade: The studio will be performing in the Parade on Saturday, December 1st.
10. Mid Term Break: CDS will be closed from Monday November 26th to Monday December 3rd due to the performance of 'Our Diva's Do Christmas' at the Arts and Culture Centre.
11. Christmas Break: Tuesday December 18th - Monday January 7th inclusive.
12. Easter Break: March/April 2007 TBA
13. Costume Deposits: Costume Deposits will be due the week of January 8th 2008, immediately following Christmas Break.

In hopes to instill in students the importance of proper attire and appearance as an essential part of dance training, all students are required to wear dance clothing to their classes. We appreciate the support of our studio parents in this matter.
Guidelines are as follows:
Dance Discovery for Boys and Girls: Level 1 (3-4 yrs)
GIRLS: Body suit (any color), pink ballet tights & pink ballet slippers. NO BALLET SKIRTS OR TUTU'S.
BOYS: White semi fit t-shirt, black pants or shorts. Bare feet or black dance shoes.
Level 2 (4-5 yrs)
GIRLS: Body suit (any color), pink ballet tights & pink ballet slippers. Ballet Skirts Optional.
BOYS: White semi fit t-shirt, black pants or shorts. Bare feet or black dance shoes.
Ballet: Bodysuit, ballet tights & slippers. Ballet skirt is optional. Hair in a bun.
Jazz & Modern Theatre: Any combination of Bodysuit, tights, leggings or Jazz pants. Bare feet, black ballet slippers or Jazz shoes. Hair off the face at all times.
Tap: Any combination of bodysuit, tights, leggings or jazz pants. Tap shoes. Hair off the face at all times.
Ballroom & Latin American: Comfortable clothing of any style. Non stick dance shoes. No Outside Footwear.
*T-Shirts, sweat shirts and Baggy Pants are NOT dance wear and are not appropriate for any Class.
*All students must wear their hair off their face at all times.
